In this open class, the practices of digitization and audiovisual preservation in Brazil, focusing on the LUPA project, will be addressed. The importance of preserving audiovisual heritage for Brazilian culture and the techniques used to ensure the integrity and access to valuable materials will be explored. Through a case study, the challenges faced and the solutions found will be presented, along with an overview of ongoing preservation initiatives in the country.
