Narrated by an unborn child, the series "Gente Verdadeira" showcases different Indigenous childhoods growing throughout Brazil. These children expand urban flows and coexist with contemporary technologies while also maintaining ancestral life. In remote communities or urbanized areas, boys and girls live realities that raise questions about the future of all humanity.

- Synopsis Cinta Larga Episode: In the central village, in territories highly coveted by white people, the Cinta-Larga maintain their Indigenous names, and their ancestral language also resists disappearing. Known for their bravery as warriors, these Indigenous people faced massacres with great courage. Many died, but the struggle was worth it: today, boys and girls can play in the river, interact with one another, and learn the value of caring for their territory.

- Synopsis Wai Wai Episode: Far from any urban center and living closely with animals, the Wai Wai children, like all adults in the community, rely on the igarapés (small rivers) and the forest for their livelihood. The river is also their only road and provides most of their food. The children are involved in essential activities with adults, such as harvesting nuts, which is crucial for maintaining community unity.

- Synopsis Awa Guajá Episode: Previously, the Awa-Guajá lived freely wandering through the forests but later had to live in villages protected by authorities because non-Indigenous people covet their ancestral territory for its timber, minerals, and other riches. In the Cocal village, most residents are children who do not have cell phones, televisions, or computers and hardly speak Portuguese. A shaman who communicates with spirits lives there as well as leaders who protect the territory. Many animals that are part of the daily lives of the residents also inhabit this area.
