Bia Salgado started as a theater costume designer in the early 80s. In 1988 she made her first film with Lucia Murat "Que bom te ver Viva".

This partnership led them to make the film "Cidade de Deus" and also the Clothing and Costume Center, which became a costume collection for the Audiovisual. She designed the costumes for more than 40 films and series. "Trash" by Stephen Daldry. "O menino que domou o vento" by Chiwetell Eljiofo, "Cangaço Novo", by Aly Muritiba, among others.
